The banshee is a supernatural creature thought to appear before there is a death in a village. She combs her hail and wails mournfully.

I was born stealing thunder
From the eye of the hurricane
Never asking for quarter
And none was ever gained

When you’re born to fight your way
Through a world of sweat and tears
The fear is like a vampire stranger
Sucking on your tears

And oh how we try to break those walls right down
Bricks and mortar made from blood and tears from the poor side of town.
Try as you might, you cannot get away
Strength of purpose is not enough to win out on this day

Until the Banshee sings
Her fearful song about dark portentious things.
